La stagione WBA 2005 fu la seconda della World Basketball Association. Parteciparono 12 squadre divise in tre gironi. Rispetto alla stagione precedente si aggiunsero i South Carolina Heat, i Magic City Court Kings, gli Arkansas ArchAngels, i Gulf Coast Bandits e i Tunica Gamblers. I Chattanooga Majic ripresero le operazioni spostandosi a Cleveland e rinominandosi Cleveland Majic. I Raleigh Knights si spostarono a Gainesville, diventando i Gainesville Knights, mentre i Jackson Rage divennero i Mississippi HardHats. I Bristol Crusaders scomparvero.
